About us
Education has brought much hope and future for several hundreds of children with better livelihood opportunities, good jobs and an improved standard of living.
Since Education, empowers communities, St. John’s High School, Cherlapalli, has focused on educating children from our nearby communities with pre-primary to higher education with extra tuition support through its committed and trained teachers in their schools.
Our Founders
Bishop John Gollapalli and his wife Mrs. Theeba John founded COUNT organization in the late 70’s. COUNT is social development organization empowering communities. As part of their child development wing, they founded the St. John’s High School in the year 1984.
In those days, education was a farfetched concept, children were encouraged to work rather than attend school. To provide an opportunity to such needy children they established the St. John’s High school which would provide free education to underprivileged children.
The founders then set up classes in small sheds and under the trees. As the number of children grew the school was recognized and through the years the school infrastructure was developed. With reasonable fee structure and dedicated school management and teachers, St. John’s High school works towards the success of its students.
In the last 41 years, 35 batches of class 10 students have completed their schooling. Hundreds of children have successfully found a decent settlement in their lives.
We are grateful for the vision of this endearing couple who have set up a remarkable foundation for our school that focusses on spreading love, wisdom and growth to children of every generation.
CEO C.O.U.N.T
Rev. Dexter T.J. Gollapalli, the CEO of COUNT is the backbone of the organization, encouraging the school management to excel and provide quality education to our students. In his leadership the education wing has developed from humble beginnings to a well- established institution supporting our school to become child friendly and fulfill the academic and social pursuits of the students and parents. He has been consistently backing us to achieve our goals for the overall development of every student. The school management is thankful for his constant encouragement and guidance in achieving our academic ambitions.
Principal’s Desk
At St. John’s High school, we believe that every child has the potential to learn and to develop. We want our students to go ahead towards a bright future for further college education and a prosperous career. As the saying goes, school is the second home, and we want our students to excel in all things when the opportunity is given to learn in a positive environment. We are committed to encourage and support the child through their academics. To provide adequate, comfortable facilities that enables a student to enjoy his/her time at school. Our staff’ is dedicated and trained to instruct students with innovative teaching methods, love and patience.
It is the responsibility of the students to obey instructions, respect the authorities and care for their peers and fellow students. It is important to make right choices and look forward for everyday with a fresh start to learn and enjoy the school environment.
We like our children to participate in all activities at school and develop their talents and skills. Our aim is to help students equip with skills in decision making and problem solving, to be confident and independent.

Our Vice Principal
I am K.B. Joshua, the proud Vice Principal of St. John’s High School. My journey with this esteemed institution began as a student in the academic year 1991–1992, when I completed my 10th standard here. It has been a privilege to serve as the Vice Principal since 2001.
Over the years, we have witnessed 38 successful batches graduate, many of whom have gone on to secure government jobs or settle abroad. We take great pride in providing quality education grounded in strong moral values. Our dedicated staff are child-centered, focusing not only on academics but also on nurturing discipline, character, and overall development.
At St. John’s, we are committed to shaping responsible and successful citizens for tomorrow.
Skills development
St. John’s High school gives opportunities to students to develop their social and cognitive skills through leadership skill development and creating a conducive learning environment.
